FAQ
When should I book?
If you plan to book a photo session during your vacation, I highly recommend scheduling your session early and booking the date at the beginning of your vacation. Just in case it happens to rain. We can reschedule if needed, and it'll save us from any last-minute changes. Also, just a heads up, sometimes tanning can make you look a bit unnatural, so it might be a good idea to consider that, too. But it's totally up to you! Just thought I'd offer my suggestion.
Booking Fee & Payment Details
+ For Standard Sessions: A $75 Non-refundable retainer fee is due at the time of booking; the remaining is due one week before the session. If the shoot is scheduled in less than a week, I kindly ask for the full payment to be made upfront.
+ For Weddings: A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due one month before the wedding. If your wedding is scheduled less than a month in advance, full payment is required upfront. A $200 deposit is required at booking. If your wedding runs more than 15 minutes past the scheduled end time, this deposit will be applied to cover the extra hour. If the event wraps up within the scheduled hours, the deposit will be fully refunded. This way, you can relax and enjoy your day without worrying about time limits.
+ This helps ensure everything is smoothly arranged for your session.
Do you charge a travel fee?
+ A travel fee of $30 will also apply for sessions in the Navarre, Santa Rosa Beach, 30A area.
+ A travel fee of $50 for Pensacola Beach and Panama City Beach (including Alys Beach, Seacrest Beach, and Rosemary Beach).
+ No travel fee is required for Destin and Fort Walton Beach sessions.
If you are unsure whether your area falls under these locations, please don't hesitate to contact me. Additionally, I can easily add or remove this fee later based on the location of your session.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my session?
No worries if the weather doesn't cooperate on the day we've scheduled our photo session! Based on my availability, we can quickly reschedule for another day that works for both of us. Sunrise is the perfect time for photos, so we could aim for that if it works for you. I might not be available during sunset, especially during the high season from April to August., but I'm usually free during the day or even at sunrise, so we have plenty of options to work with. That’s why I recommend scheduling at the beginning of your vacation since Florida weather can be unpredictable. Unless it's raining continuously throughout your stay (which never happens—LOL), I'd happily refund the remaining balance (second payment).
What about the location?
Due to the high season, many beaches tend to be crowded, particularly around hotels. I highly recommend booking your session at a state park for a more peaceful and serene setting. If you're in the Santa Rosa Beach and 30A area, I recommend Grayton Beach State Park or Deer Lake State Park.
If you happen to be in Destin, Fort Walton Beach, or Miramar, I highly recommend checking out Henderson Beach State Park or some of the beaches on Okaloosa Island. Natural dunes surround these stunning beaches and offer scenic trails without any buildings in the background.
Alternatively, we can also shoot at the beach access near your place if that’s more convenient for you. However, the choice is entirely yours—these locations are just suggestions! 😊
+ In areas like Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Seaside, there are some pretty strict photography guidelines. Permits are typically only granted if you're the property owner or renting there. However, if you wish to photograph in Rosemary Beach without owning or renting property through “Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Company (RBCRC)," you may do so by paying a $500 fee through RBCRC. (If you own or rent property there, please provide me with the address so I can request the necessary permit to photograph there.)
What is your cancellation policy?
Clients must provide at least 72 hours' notice for cancellations. If canceled within this timeframe, I’ll gladly refund the second payment. However, cancellations made less than 72 hours before the session will require full payment.
